"Super Cat" ~A thought by Sinbad the Sailor Man

Poetry: For fun! Two ex-lovers meet somewhere unexpectedly and one voices an opinion.

The Poet reflects on his Ex, bringing her new man to a party.

"Super Cat"

Tit for tat, super cat

A dancing frog in a coat with tails and a top hat

His long webbed fingers, green and clutching his diamond headed cane

Tap shoes on and singing in the rain

Oh; he gave me such a pain, straight through to my heart

I liken it, to a poisoned dart

Oh dear, where did you find this here guy

So full of his lies and himself; he, could sit suspended in mid air

Loved truly by only gardeners; for all of his bull fertilizer

He shall keep their gardens green and growing for years and years

With just one visitation their lawns will be so colored

As the slime falls off his back

Dear heart; I, have wronged you, this I know

My darling pleased I was, when you showed up here

With this here guy

But, please don't try; to punish me anymore

For you are just , not any good at it

"My Locked Up Heart"~ By Sinbad the Sailor Man

My Locked Up Heart

Moonbeams and sunlight, one is always trying to drown out the other

A continual fight by the light of day or the dark of night, homage paid

Games I would not play, is this why you went away?

I told you so many times, there is no other love like mine

It lies beneath in a still and silent mountain, like a dormant volcano

The silent mountain, is all that you see but, beneath a sea of lava

Full of bright reds and oranges and the occasional yellows and blues

Once the furnace stops glowing, blowing ashes, and gray dust hardens into blacken sand

I will love you, I always have and I always will, at least the you that loved me

I know it still lurks, deep inside of you, like my injured soul does me

But, I fear it may be lost forever, in a pool of your falling tears

In your fractured heart it lies, as you do, to your new man and he tries

So hard he tries, to keep it all together but, hear me my lover, once it does explode and it

Will, into millions of pieces I know this, because mine has already done so

Once it does explode, the tears shall truly come, once you realize what we, have done

No matter how well maintained the fractures are, it will break, your heart

Maybe not here in the open

And maybe no one will be able to tell, except me

But, beneath in my locked up heart, yours will need replacing

So let it be me, please! I will give you mine again

"Somebody to Share You With"~ By Sinbad the Sailor Man

Immediately I begged for her forgiveness; With a single finger to my lips
And tears in her and mine eyes
Yes she said: I am willing too

"Somebody to Share You With"

I almost got it right, last night

It was going to be my last try

After all of these years, of trying

I had her head spinning
All the day long

With looks that would even melt
Your stone cold heart

With loving words, that needed no defining

With my swaggering walk

I took her to Gepeto’s

Did you know, now you need reservations

Eighteen months in advance
But yes, you already knew that
I am never hidden from you
We sat at that same old table

 The small elegant one

You remember

The one way in the back

The one with the golden silverware

And

The silken napkins you remember dear?

As I teased with you, I do her too

I

Placed the cream colored velvet box

Silently upon her plate

But only after knocking the bud vase over

And to the floor as I did yours

The only difference was, her ring

It was placed in a misshapen box
One that would reassemble

A bracelet, or a locket's Box

For I knew, she knew, that I still loved you

With all my heart, even though you can not

Physically compete for it anymore as before

Not, that you would have too, my dear

You have beaten out, all Comers

Jac' replaced the bulb; as he did before

With jewelry light; intense and bright

When she had opened that box and saw

The thing

Jac' he then hits the table lights

Its facets destroyed the table setting

With their glittering, their sparkling

Every single Facet was all a glow

And then

Her smile; she flooded my heart

With pure hope

 And then

I went and blew it

I was one vowel off

An O for an A

I called my darling Danna, Donna

I immediately, begged, for her forgiveness

With a single finger, to my lips

And with tears in her eyes and mine

Yes she said; I am willing, to share you

With her memories

And that was it

I will no longer miss

Missing you

"Sinbad's Misery"~ A thought by Sinbad the Sailor Man

Poetry: Of a Lost Love One

"Sinbad's Misery"

You are always on my mind
I can not break these ties, that bind

I can not keep you, from slipping in
You are my lover, my… my friend

Although it is a relief for me
Temporarily, relieved; freed

From time to time I keep time, yet still I am
Letting  you, silently slip back in

It seems, only and too often  I’ved
Sailed these Forbidden Seas

Encompassed by the pain, with
The jealousy, and plain old disdain

With never a hint of empathy
You showed me, no sympathy

The torment will not relent
Or was it too, heaven sent?

Your smiles traverse me so
Into my simple mind and my soul

Exploding, each and every memory
Every dream, I have ever dreamt of you

No comfort can I find, for still
I am a bit, dazed and confused

Still; not over you
Will I, that I’d never be, over you?

I can’t let you go
When will this tragedy play out?

Have you forgiven me?
Do you still remember me?

When did you stop loving me, with all of your heart?
Was it something that I done or that we could have fixed?

Why wouldn’t your kiss, be goodbye?
Was this one; at last too, that little lie?

It could have given me; a place, to start
Mending my broken soul and mine  heart

I forgiven you my dear
I’m forever wishing you were here

This is the end of me, my mate
Looks like love has sealed It my fate

Oh how I wished; you would have
Plunged that steel dagger, into me

You will see, I will love you
Forever and a day

"Forgot-ton"~ A thought by Sinbad the Sailor Man

Poetry: Reflections of Disgust by Love Lost

"Forgot-ton"

Look into your heart

 Through Its endless layers
Where I have been buried

Yet still I am,  alive
 By whatever evil

Being

Turn back the hands of time
To the beginning

Where love bloomed
Forget this doom

 Its gloom
This fake life, you
Have claimed

And
Choose to sustain

One in which you, will not
Utter, my name

Utter my, name
Utter my Name!

Or even think of It
 Least you remember me
Your lover

Although I failed you somehow
Did not a chance remain?

To fix whatever damage, that was done
Blindsided by a big red truck

Swept away, like dirt upon the floor
Flung into the dung-heap

Did you, ever lose any sleep?
One day I was still your lover

And then the other
Forgotten

"Faithfully Named"~ A thought by Sinbad the Sailor Man

Poetry: A  story of life given in birth and a life taken from death

"Faithfully Named"

As I slept there, with the unknown babe, that was placed at my side
I felt a peace come over me, such that I have never known
For she was delivered late in the night; by God’s saving Grace

She was so tiny, pink, and frail; all alone
Her mother had past, just before her birth
She was our child our first

I had great Hope, that we would all
Be going home
But, we two are now both, alone

She has a head, full of dark and curly hair
She has her mother’s, deep blue mesmerizing eyes
She has my mother’s big old smile

And her mother’s, mother’s nose
She posses all of her fingers and all of her toes
She is; as healthy as an ox, the doctors all say so

That did give me some but, a fast depleting Joy
These tears they; well up in my eyes, and dry
My heart it skips a beat, maybe two

How on earth will I ever manage her, all alone
I do not know what it is, I am suppose to do
I hear that voice and I scold myself

Stop your whining fool
Man up, we have both lost so much
But, we have gained each other too

As the nurse takes her out of, that plastic container
She says as soon as you name her
You may take her home, such a chore I thought

I am paralyzed
We never did decide
Hope, Joy, Grace

The nurse could see
The distress upon my face
And the fear, as I teared

She said: don’t worry dear
It will all work out fine
Just take some time

Your wife; she had such faith, in you
She was a very lovely lady
As she placed you in my arms and then

Quietly she disappeared

The tears hung there for awhile
As I bowed my head, I mutter the words
That the nurse had said

A tear drop, must of landed on your cheek
Because, you had awoken, from your sleep
Such faith in me I said

When faith I said: your blue eyes opened wide

Faith I said again: you gave a little coo

Faith I said one last time: you smiled and I cried
