"The Dark Side of Paradise"~ A thought by Sinbad the Sailor Man

Poetry: A Story Poem

 "The Dark Side of Paradise"

Cold and shaking, in the darkening sunlight
We landed here upon this
A tropic and deserted, desert island
My Honey nearly bare
Her bronzed and golden tan
Just an arms lengths away

While we lay upon these, glistening sands
I hear her shadow breathing, now shallow
The full moon rising
I am entranced in your endless beauty
As I pull you to shelter
Beneath, the wind blown palms
If I had anything to give to you

My dear Rose
Besides this deep purple
Rose maybe some of those
Pink Snowballs and a Grape Ne-hi,  no?
Honey I am so sorry, yes
I will just hold you, I will hold you tight
Some hot black coffee than
And a roaring campfire? No?

Hush: she whispered in his ear
“Just these arms of yours my dear;”

Than came the silence of the night
The Northern Lights swirl above, as
I silently notice two shooting stars
And then something that looked like
A pulsing quasar

Things we or I
Would have never had paid attention too
If you were not  lying here, in my weary arms
This was no Love Boat cruise, ah!
 [deep despair]

As I place you in the sand, beneath
Those torn palms, my palms are bleeding still
This bright piece of aluminum
That I have used for a plow
Will now become your headstone

As I lie atop of the heaping mound, of stones
I steadily swat at the circling flies above
I try so desperately to shew them all away
I continually curse; with my weakening breath
My darling’s death
 and
Our misfortunes of what came to be

This was to be our day, and not
Our last day

[Not much time left]

I feel the pounding in my chest
And time is now my dis-ease…
My disease, he silently chuckles to himself
I see the men of war, floating among
The foaming seas

They encircle this dying ship
As do the hornets do
When they are dinning
On the honey bees

 Amongst the fiery debris
The ship, she strikes a pose
Straight up then, down she goes

And then, the serpent bobs up
His ugly head
That old tyrant of the dead

I sit emotionless and void
At this, my last memory
On the
Dark Side of Paradise

"No Time Left, But for Yesterdays"~ A thought by Sinbad the Sailor Man

Poem: Reflections on the Desires of Times Past

"No Time Left, But for Yesterdays"

We all have heard the great callings, from deep inside our souls
After all, we are; just mortal men, with many, many goals
We have all heard it, over an over again

Until the words; they
Fall upon Defiance’s ear
Which do not and will not, hold

We seek our heart’s satisfactions, without fear of recourse or blame
For we have no shame
Our greedy hearts they can not, be contained

We or maybe just I alone
Do pretend to be
Insane or sane?

I  have had great joy and magnificent sadness, so I am told
That this is; what lead me, to my secret madness, of being so bold
But, the joys have all aged so

And they, have been thrust into
The damning sands of
Old

As for the sorrows, they always seem, to be replenished or retold
I have tremendous fears; of growing older, and losing my sweet mind
But, as for my today’s and my tomorrow’s, I have no concerns, or any  time

I pined and mined for; my yesterdays, as even they have grown cold
I hunt; as a mad treasure seeker would, with a fever for gold
An unquenchable thirst, for sweet wine and a lust for extending my mind

The Treasurer
Of
These only

Remembrances

Of
The
Joy filled times

"Future Politicians"~ A thought by Sinbad the Sailor Man

An Insight Into the Political Machine Here in the USA

"Future Politicians"

Full moon rising over this simple little college town: any where USA

These murderous monsters of innocent minds; are still lurking about

To this very day; terrible in their devises and extremely evasive these

Creatures of the Light

They hunt for warm blood; young and bright

They hunt for untold secretes

They vie for pure, an undisturbed minds; innocent young men and women

These creatures don’t have features like Vampires or Lykens

But moreover and far more deadly; these Collegially Masters are

For they walk in the light of day; nor due they have to go out to hunt

For their prey will pay to yet be devoured

Like flies into a web; these Young bloods are,

Their innocents, it is sucked out

Their souls are torn from their bodies and they are yet unaware

They become; as the teachers will

Forever changed; mindless copies

Placed into twisted brother and sister hoods

They are being groomed and placed into circles

There they are breed, fed, and kept

Feverishly awaiting; to be placed

In at the right time

Fiercely becoming our future Politicians

"Faithfully Named"~ A thought by Sinbad the Sailor Man

Poetry: A  story of life given in birth and a life taken from death

"Faithfully Named"

As I slept there, with the unknown babe, that was placed at my side
I felt a peace come over me, such that I have never known
For she was delivered late in the night; by God’s saving Grace

She was so tiny, pink, and frail; all alone
Her mother had past, just before her birth
She was our child our first

I had great Hope, that we would all
Be going home
But, we two are now both, alone

She has a head, full of dark and curly hair
She has her mother’s, deep blue mesmerizing eyes
She has my mother’s big old smile

And her mother’s, mother’s nose
She posses all of her fingers and all of her toes
She is; as healthy as an ox, the doctors all say so

That did give me some but, a fast depleting Joy
These tears they; well up in my eyes, and dry
My heart it skips a beat, maybe two

How on earth will I ever manage her, all alone
I do not know what it is, I am suppose to do
I hear that voice and I scold myself

Stop your whining fool
Man up, we have both lost so much
But, we have gained each other too

As the nurse takes her out of, that plastic container
She says as soon as you name her
You may take her home, such a chore I thought

I am paralyzed
We never did decide
Hope, Joy, Grace

The nurse could see
The distress upon my face
And the fear, as I teared

She said: don’t worry dear
It will all work out fine
Just take some time

Your wife; she had such faith, in you
She was a very lovely lady
As she placed you in my arms and then

Quietly she disappeared

The tears hung there for awhile
As I bowed my head, I mutter the words
That the nurse had said

A tear drop, must of landed on your cheek
Because, you had awoken, from your sleep
Such faith in me I said

When faith I said: your blue eyes opened wide

Faith I said again: you gave a little coo

Faith I said one last time: you smiled and I cried

"Fire Drake"~ A thought by Sinbad the Sailor Man

A Story poem

"Fire Drake"

It slumbers beneath the rolling stream
Dreaming of your screams
Your running blood

When looked for it can not be seen
But he, knows you are coming

It’s skin is as iron

Its teeth are a bit shy of thirteen inch nails
Its tail is razor sharp, along the spaded end

When confronted by him, you may start sobbing
Or
You may find that religion that you thought you may have had

If you give it your all, boy
You may be successful in your quest
Your test

They have spied him down by the lake
Some; they call him, a “Fire Drake”

When you have awakened him
It is fire that you’ll be seeing

The heat and stench, of
Its breath

Start your fleeing son
Run as fast as you can
Unless it is fame and fortune
that
You are seeking
Or if it is only for the glory of it all

Lad

Be careful
 For what you wish for

Battling this winged giant
Could cost you your very life
And
The villagers theirs as well!

But, by defeating him, you can spare
Someone theirs
Even if
The King has sentenced them, himself

Yes son, this is the law
You must slay him
Put It down before, the sun rises

To the full of noon
This is all you have

After the day
You, proclaim, to do this deed

No, son Fire Drakes never run!

But, would be knights have taken flight
These Knights; must now run forever
Or the thing shall find them

And dispatch of them
For he now carries their scent

Tis no easy task lad, it may be

Your last, but do as you must

To save her, your wife
Remember son when you slay him

If you slay him

Be sure to cut off Its head

Tis the only way to be sure it is dead

You must place it on the floor
Before the King
 as proof
To the battle won

No son; the King will not deny your wish

He will release your young wife
Just be sure to place, Its head

Snout facing the King!
And then rest but one
Foot upon It

Why? You ask

Then he; will know you, to be
A true, Dragon Slayer

"Spoken With Out Words"` By Sinbad the Sailor Man

Poetry: Reflections on a man's inability, to express his words aloud

"Spoken With Out Words"

Be careful dear, as a man I am unable

To speak as, the Poet does

I know you will hear me, if only

You would remember

As a man I fear the breaking of, my

Glass lips and porcelain heart

So I speak to you, with hands bound, and made of steel

Bound in leather, so you won’t feel

The coldness of their stealing touch

Of your healing and of your passions

My panoplied eyes, search your very soul

To see if the trust, be within you told

Your eyes must hear, they must care

You must not fear for the wants of my heart

It only wishes to share, yet it dares not, dare

For my skin it crawls, low and before your heart

In plain view, I bow about your feet

My head beneath them, when I smile at you

Enabled hearts must be careful dear; as they continually seek

As a man, I am unable to speak, as the poets do

With my glass lips and porcelain heart

My words are, but stones thrown about

They may break your bones, if not pierce your heart

My eyes see your wants; It wants, therefore to speak

But, it is only a porcelain heart

Trampled with, glass lips; and broken shards

"Beef and Cream"~ By Sinbad the Sailor Man

Poetry: About Cows?

The Cattle men and the Dairy farmer
Both raise and breed these
Their Cash cows

But only one man reaps and keeps
Reusing the gifts of this his Venture
Time and time again it never stops

Black and white spots
Verses the gray and tan
One Bloodied and chopped

And then shipped away for the day
The other washed and massaged
And then they are led away

Their time at hand
One screams and bellows
And then tries to run

Fear is seen there in their eyes
And yet it is seen only once
No more tears shall fall

From their calved eyes
And now for the other
She

Marches forward
Lowly and loyal and wishes
There for to stand

At least twice a day she is
Rushed in and then
Milked

Calm is seen within
There in her old cow eyes
All the day long

There for both the farmers
And the ranchers
Profit from these sacred cows

But what then is
The futures of
The kines

Unfortunately Only one of them
These kines may profit from men
And their kinds

Ah baloney and cheese
Pass me the milk please
Oh how unkind I am
